# Linktree alternatives for creators

Linktree is the default for good reasons: unlimited links on a free plan, a Discount Code link app documented in its own help center, and a URL your followers already recognise. Creators leave for four specific reasons and each has a different best answer. No custom domain on any plan: Campsite.bio at $7/mo, Carrd at $19/yr, or Beacons from $10/mo. Linktree taking a cut of Earn commissions on every plan below the $30/mo Premium tier: upgrading fixes it, or earn through a network instead of through your bio page. A 28-day analytics window on Free: any paid Linktree tier, or a tool that does not gate history. Codes buried in a list of links: that is the one usecode.sh is built for, and the only one of the four where the answer is us.

## What Linktree is genuinely good at

A reader who has used Linktree will not trust a page that pretends it is bad, so: the free plan carries unlimited links with no fee on the links themselves, the Discount Code link app is a real documented feature that puts a code on the page instead of hiding it in button text, and the linktr.ee address is understood instantly by followers, brands and platform reviewers. Around that sits an app marketplace nothing else in the category matches, Instagram auto-replies, social scheduling and Kajabi-powered courses. Breadth is the product. Leaving costs you all of it, and that is the thing to weigh against whichever single row below is bothering you.

## The reasons creators actually leave, and what fixes each

| Why you are leaving | What actually fixes it | Cost |
| --- | --- | --- |
| You want your own domain | Campsite.bio, Carrd, or Beacons. Linktree offers none on any plan and no domain forwarding either | $7/mo, $19/yr, $10/mo |
| Linktree takes a cut of what you earn | Premium is the only 0% tier. Or earn through an affiliate network and keep your page out of the money path | $30/mo, or nothing |
| Analytics history is too short | Any paid Linktree tier, or Campsite.bio Pro+ for lifetime history and CSV export | $6/mo up, $24/mo |
| Your codes are buried in a link list | usecode.sh, where the code is the card rather than a row in it | Free |
| You have outgrown a link page and want to sell | A storefront, not another link page. The trade-offs are on [Stan Store alternatives](/compare/stan-store-alternatives) | Varies |

The fee row is the one most people have not actually read. Linktree's own fee article puts **12% on Free** and **9% on Starter and Pro** for digital products and courses, 0% on Premium, with Stripe's 2.9% plus $0.30 on top of all of them. Separately, on Shops, Sponsored Links and Affiliate Opportunities, Linktree takes a percentage of the commission you earn on Free, Starter and Pro, and nothing on Premium. Those Earn features are documented as US-only, so depending on where you live the row may not apply to you at all.

## The alternatives in one line each

- **Beacons.** The broadest free tier in the category: link page, media kit, digital products, affiliate links, email sends and Instagram DM automation, with a custom domain from Creator at $10/mo. The catch is a 9% cut of store sales and affiliate earnings that persists on Free and Creator and only reaches 0% on Creator Plus at $30/mo.
- **Campsite.bio.** The closest thing to a straight swap at a lower price: Free, Pro $7/mo, Pro+ $24/mo, with a custom domain on both paid tiers where Linktree has none. Free analytics run 14 days against Linktree's 28, Pro runs 60, and lifetime history plus CSV export sit on Pro+.
- **Carrd.** Not a link tool at all: a one-page site builder, $19/yr for Pro Standard, the first tier its pricing page marks as allowing a custom domain. You get total design control and you build everything yourself, analytics included.
- **usecode.sh.** Codes and the links attached to them, nothing else. Every card is a code with tap-to-copy, and views, shop taps and code copies are counted per card with no history limit. Free, and the wrong answer unless codes are the reason your bio exists.

## What you have to redo when you switch

1. Change the URL by hand, everywhere. Linktree has no custom domain, so linktr.ee/yourname cannot travel with you. Every bio field, pinned comment, printed QR code and old caption points at an address you no longer control.
2. Retype every link and then open it. Labels, thumbnails and tracking parameters all get re-entered, and this is where an affiliate parameter quietly goes missing. Confirm each link still lands where it used to before you delete anything.
3. Take your numbers before you stop paying. Analytics history does not transfer between tools. On Free you can only see the last 28 days anyway, and CSV export is a Premium feature, so export or screenshot whatever a brand might ask you about later.
4. Expect Earn income to stop rather than move. Shops, Sponsored Links and Affiliate Opportunities are Linktree's own programs. Moving your page does not move those deals; you re-source them through a network or directly with the brand.
5. Leave the old page live for a few weeks, pointing at the new one. Followers arrive from captions that are months old, and deleting the Linktree on day one is the expensive mistake.

## What usecode.sh does not do

Worth stating plainly, because a page that only lists its own strengths is not a comparison. usecode.sh does codes and the links attached to them. There is no store and no checkout, so nothing can be sold through it. No email list, no scheduling, no forms, no embeds, no courses, no custom domain, no theme library, no app marketplace. It counts page views, shop taps and code copies, which is code interest and copy activity; it cannot see redemptions or sales, and neither can any other bio page. If your reason for leaving Linktree is anything other than code prominence, one of the three above is the better move.

## Honest limits and unverified points

- Prices and tier boundaries move often here. Everything above was checked against official pricing and help pages on the date shown, and the sources below are the live authority.
- Carrd's pricing page does not describe what its free account includes; the $19/yr figure is simply the first tier that page marks as allowing a custom domain, and nothing here claims anything about the free tier.
- Whether Linktree counts code copies internally is unverified. Its published analytics describe views, clicks and click rate, which is the only claim made here.
- Linktree's Discount Code help article documents how to add the app and what a visitor sees; it does not state plan availability, so no plan claim is made from it.
- Linktree, Beacons, Campsite.bio and Carrd are trademarks of their owners. This is an independent comparison and implies no endorsement.
